Do you work with businesses outside of Seattle? Of course. While our firm is located in Seattle, we are happy to work with you whether you're down the street or on the other side of the world. Any communication can be done via email, phone, or virtual meeting.
Do you outsource? All of our work is done by us, be it web design, branding, or SEO. We do not outsource or act as an unnecessary link in the chain with any of our services, unless it is something explicitly agreed upon with the client due to being outside our scope of expertise.
What happens if I cancel my contract but later decide to come back? No problem, you'll just need to sign a new one.
Websites
Can I request add-ons after my website has already been launched? Yes! We also offer reputation management, SEO, and branding to go along with your website.
What if I cancel my zero-upfront contract before the 12 months are up? Should you change your mind and decide our work isn't for you (which, for what it's worth, you'd be the first to do so far), you will owe payment for the remaining length of the contract. This is to ensure our work is not taken advantage of and that our business model stays viable so we can keep focusing on providing excellent service.
What platform will my new site be built on? We use Ruby on Rails (Rails for short) and lightweight HTML5 code to build our sites, and Rackspace and AWS for reliable, rock-solid hosting. All of our sites are on a 256-bit encrypted https: connection for added security. That said, we can also build your site on Wix or Wordpress based on your situation and priorities.
What's included in the monthly service fee? The monthly service fee includes hosting, SSL certificate, ongoing maintenance and support for our clients to ensure that their websites remain up-to-date and functioning properly. This can include things like updating content, fixing any bugs or issues that arise, and making sure that the website is compatible with the latest web standards and technologies.
Will my new website look good on smartphones? Yes. All of the websites we design are built to be responsive, meaning that they will automatically adjust to fit the screen size of any device. This ensures that your website will look great and be easy to use on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Can I use my domain from my previous site? Yes, it is generally possible to use a domain from your previous site for your new website as long as you still own it. Depending on your hosting provider, there may be a process or fee for transferring your domain to a new website. Our team will be happy to assist you.
SEO
Why should I pay for your SEO audit when there are free ones available? If you're being offered a free audit, there is a near-absolute chance that the goal is to sell you additional SEO services, and the audit is simply a sales tool to persuade you to buy them. And if the goal is to upsell, the report may not necessarily be 100% honest. Furthermore, free audits are often repackaged AI outputs or exports from online tools that anyone could do on their own. Our audits include detailed, actionable insights and a priority roadmap that can work either as a standalone purchase or as an addition to our continuous SEO services.
Is SEO included in your websites? Yes -- the content and structure of your new website will be optimized to improve its visibility and ranking in search results, unless you have specific requests that make this impossible and are ok with it affecting your SEO. With that said, the SEO we include in all of our websites by default is not iterative. If you're seeking a more long-term approach, we also offer SEO campaigns where we continuously test different iterations of both on-page content and backlinks to continually grow your traffic even more effectively.
How do you calculate my baseline traffic? Because our continuous SEO pricing depends on your baseline traffic versus how much we generate, you may understandably be worried about how your baseline is determined. Some industries are extremely seasonal and averaging the last 3-6 months would be inaccurate, or maybe we average the last 12 months but your traffic has increased within that period due to your own efforts. The short answer is that it depends -- on your industry, how long you've been in business, and if you've made any major changes to your online presence recently. So while we can't give a one-size-fits-all answer, however your baseline traffic is determined, we will be absolutely transparent about our process and work with you along the way to make sure it's fair for both of us.
How much more traffic on my existing website should I expect from your SEO services? We cannot guarantee exact numbers, and we recommend staying away from anyone who claims that they can. If you're seeking our continuous SEO campaign for an existing website, performance will depend on not only your niche and target audience but also your existing website's setup. Most business owners who DIY their websites use closed-source platforms such as Wix and Squarespace, making their site infrastructure much less customizable than on open-source platforms. Depending on your situation, we may recommend a migration at an additional fee, but even without one we can still boost your SEO with on-page content and do whatever we can with what we have. This is why our pricing depends on how much more organic search engine we generate -- every platform has its own limitations, and we believe that trying to get you on board by promising specific results would be dishonest.
